مهرجان الرقص مع الموتى واحد من أكثر المهرجانات غرابة في العالم، فهذا المهرجان الغريب من نوعه يتم إجراؤه في مدغشقر ويدعى بمهرجان الروابط الأسرية أو فاماديهانا Famadihana ويسمونه أيضا مهرجان تحريك عظام الموتى والذي يتم إجراؤه كل سبع سنوات. وفي مهرجان الرقص مع الموتى العجيب والفريد من نوعه، يتم فتح القبور وإخراج الموتى وسط مظاهر احتفالية صاخبة، ويتم تجهيزهم بكفن جديد ورش العطور عليهم والرقص معهم وسط الموسيقى الصاخبة، كما يتم ذبح الأضاحي لهم وإقامة مآدب الطعام والشراب. وحول أهمية هذا المهرجان، يقول المشاركون فيه بأنه يهدف إلى توعية الأطفال بأهمية التواصل المباشر مع الأسلاف، فحسب معتقدات أهل مدغشقر فإن الإنسان لم يخلق من طين بل خلق من أجساد أسلافه ولذلك فإنهم يحبون كثيرا أجدادهم ويكنون لهم كل الاحترام والتقدير . يذكر أن مهرجان الرقص مع الموتى والذي تعود جذوره إلى القرن السابع عشر يستمر لمدة ثلاثة أيام ، يعقبها إعادة الجثث إلى قبورها بعناية فائقة بعد أن يتم تزيينها.
